Clear Command Dog Training — Clear Communication Creates Calm and Control.

The everyday problems we fix.

Most dogs aren't bad. They just haven't been shown clearly what you want. These are the things owners call about most.

Pulling on the leash

Walks where your dog stays with you instead of dragging you down the street.

Jumping on people

Guests, kids, and strangers get a polite greeting, not muddy paws.

Reactivity

Less barking, lunging, and spinning out at other dogs, people, and cars.

Not coming when called

A recall you can count on, even when there's something more interesting around.

Door manners

No bolting out the door or rushing whoever just knocked.

How the three weeks work.

Your dog lives with me for three weeks and trains at home and in public places around the metro, like the Renaissance at Colony Park, the Township at Colony Park, and the Ross Barnett Reservoir area, so the training holds up in real life. You get updates along the way.

  1. Before

    Free evaluation

A 45-minute visit at your home. I meet your dog, see what's going on, and we decide if the program is the right fit.

  2. Week 1

Settle in and build the basics

Your dog settles into a steady routine: crated overnight from 10 PM to 10 AM, with structured training during the day.

  3. Week 2

    Take it out in public

Training moves out to busy public places around the metro, with real people, noise, and distractions.

  4. Week 3

    Make it stick

More time in public and around new distractions, until the good behavior shows up the same way everywhere.

  5. Pickup

    Handoff session

I show you everything your dog learned and how to keep it going, so it works for you at home, not just for me.

Three dogs at a time. Never more.

I keep the program small on purpose. With no more than three dogs in at once, every dog gets real one-on-one time every day, not a few minutes between a dozen others.

  • Real attentionYour dog trains with me, not with a rotating staff.
  • Lives with the trainerDogs stay in my home with a consistent daily routine, crated overnight from 10 PM to 10 AM.
  • Trained where life happensWe work in public around the Jackson metro so your dog is ready for the real world, not just a training yard.

Thirty years of training dogs.

I'm Chad Simkins. I've been training dogs for about 30 years, starting with my first company, Sentinel Canine.

Clear Command is the program I built for family dogs here at home: a small group, a lot of hands-on time, and training that holds up out in the real world. I also run American Malinois, where we raise and train protection dogs.

Common questions.

Does my dog need to be vaccinated?

Yes. Your dog needs to be current on vaccines before drop-off. We'll go over exactly what's needed at your evaluation.

What should I bring at drop-off?

Your dog's food and vaccine records. Anything else, we'll cover at your evaluation so there are no surprises on drop-off day.

Can I visit my dog during the program?

You'll get updates during the stay so you can see how it's going. We'll talk through visits at your evaluation.

What happens after the three weeks?

You come back for a handoff session. I walk you through everything your dog learned and show you how to handle it, so the training keeps working at home.

How many dogs do you take at once?

Three at most. That's what lets every dog get real attention each day.

Where do you train?

Dogs live with me and train both at home and in public places around the metro, like the Renaissance at Colony Park, the Township at Colony Park, and the Ross Barnett Reservoir area.
